AZ-LE30Z

Large LED Display

12 unit modular display with discrete type LED technology

The AZ-LE30Z is a 12 unit modular system with each module incorporating discrete type LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology. Each pixel is made up of separate red, green and blue LEDs contained within minute squares and contribute towards the reproduction of an image. To further enhance image clarity subpixel processing maps every single dot to an LED to achieve more precise images than the actual number of physical pixels.

The textured surface of the AZ-LE30Z improves brightness and contrast by reducing reflections in direct sunlight and helps to maintain a vivid and impactful picture. In addition to this the 140 degree viewing angle means spectators standing either side of the screen receive the same picture quality as those in direct view. The 'fine gradation control' function reduces black level noise using its built-in 17-bit processing to enhance low contrast areas of an image that could not previously be achieved.

All Astrovision displays boast a 1600 Hz high refresh rate to eliminate flicker often seen on live camera recordings and motion blur in fast moving images. Its colour depth is near infinite and is rated approximately 20 million times higher than a one billion colour system. Keeping up with broadcasting standards ASTROVISION supports HD-SDI, SDI, composite, analogue RGB, DVI and many other formats. All displays conform to IP66 standards meaning they are waterproof and dustproof. Overall these benefits are the reason for its longstanding use at the Olympics Games to this day.
